Week 1 – Happiness
Learning Intention:
Students will:
Understand what happiness is.
Complete a mind map with happiness written in the middle.
Include your understanding of what it means, things that make you happy and how you know you are happy.
Make sure it is colourful.
Write the dictionary definition across the bottom of the page.
Does the dictionary definition fully take in everything you think happiness is?

Ask members of your extend family and friends (over the phone) some of the questions from the first video.
Develop a PowerPoint or small book made with paper stapled together of their responses.

Students then draw and complete one of the following:
A picture of King Midas with a thought bubble expressing what Midas thought would make him happy
A drawing of a hand showing five consequences of Midas’ greedy; one consequence on each finger of the hand
Another drawing of King Midas with a thought bubble showing what Midas learned about real happiness.
Create a Happiness poster.
It should include things that make you happy at the moment.
