To our Kinder students,
Try to create a quiet and comfortable learning space, near your family. We would like you to try to work for 1 hour a day on the literacy and numeracy activities.
While you are learning at home, we encourage you to keep a learning journal. This could be written in your homework book, on any paper or made using MS Word or PowerPoint.
Your learning journal could include a list of experiences from the day such as drawing, reading, writing, play, cooking, exercising, or researching.

Dear Parents/Carers,
I hope you are all well and staying safe at this time. I have handpicked a range of tasks that the students can do independently or with assistance.
This pack includes resources covering the key learning areas of English and Maths as well as other areas. This will provide you with a wide range of activities to share with your child while they are at home. All activities are age appropriate and most will relate to work that your child has experienced in the classroom. The activities can be completed in any order.
The booklet, grid as well as online options are designed to last for two weeks. Please do not feel overwhelmed by the amount of set tasks as they are only a guide. I have put extra worksheets in the booklet as I know the students will work through them very quickly. The expected time for academic tasks set by the Catholic schools office for Kindergarten is set out below, which can be broken up over the day as you see fit. There are exercise/scrap books left outside the school office at school for you to pick up if you would like to use them at home. You can use the books to glue worksheets into, write answers in to limit printing and daily journaling.
Please also have a look through the other tabs on the webpage. There are a wealth of resources for the students to be independently engaged in.
If you have any questions regarding any of the tasks please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Warm Regards,
Lisa Minett
