Dear Year 6 Students
Try to create a quiet and comfortable learning space, near your family. We would like you to try to work for 2 hours a day on the literacy and numeracy activities.
While you are learning at home, we encourage you to keep a learning journal. This could be written in your homework book, on any paper or made using MS Word or PowerPoint.
Your learning journal could include a list of experiences from the day such as drawing, reading, writing, play, cooking, exercising, or researching.

Dear Parents/Carers,
I hope you are all well and staying safe at this time. As a school, we have handpicked a range of tasks that kids can do independently or with assistance.
This pack includes resources covering the key learning areas of English and Maths as well as links to our other Key Learning Area's. This will provide you with a wide range of activities to share with your child. All activities are age appropriate and most will relate to work that your child has experienced in the classroom. The activities can be completed in any order.
An exercise book was sent home with some students last week and students are welcome and encouraged to use this or alternatively they may have their homework book or other books they are not currently using to do work in.
The booklet and grid, as well as online options, are designed to last for two weeks. Please do not feel overwhelmed by the amount of set tasks as they are only an option. As a school we have total faith in you to do the right amount for you and your child’s circumstances, we understand that not all learning environments are the same and not all students learn at the same rate so do as little or as much of the work as you see fit.
If you have any questions regarding any of the tasks or require any resources from school, please contact me through the St Joseph’s Wingham administration email at [email protected] or phone during school hours on 6553 4774.
Most importantly, stay safe and we look forward to the day when we are all back together as a whole school community.
Warm Regards,
Shane Cleaver
